Administrative oversight includes all department related activity supporting department faculty and APP clinical practice, research, and educational activities, as well institutional compliance and evaluation.
The department administrator oversees credentialing, provider scheduling, annual evaluations, provider productivity monitoring, human resource development, and institutional compliance. Administrative oversight also includes reviewing, initiating or supporting the development of department policies and procedures as well as providing feedback on ambulatory, hospital and college of medicine policies and processes. Financial management includes all financial and accounting processes for the departments revenue/expense reporting, business projections and forecasts, monitoring expenditures, revenue cycle enhancement, budget variance analysis, salary allocation as well as management of the financial relationships with internal and external partners.
The Department Administrator will play a key role in the annual budgeting process, business development, and strategic planning in cooperation with the service line administrator, department chairs, and institutional leadership. The Department administrator reports directly to the Neuroscience service line administrator and works directly with the chairs of both Neurology and Neurosurgery to develop and advance their vision for the future of neurological care, research and instruction.Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesDoes this position have supervisory responsibilities?
