Join Wake Forest Emergency Providers as an Emergency Physician in Albemarle, North Carolina-part of Advocate Health, one of the largest nonprofit integrated health systems in the country.
Wake Forest Emergency Providers, affiliated with Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist and Wake Forest School of Medicine, delivers high-quality emergency care across Hospital Emergency Departments and Free-Standing Emergency Departments throughout the Greater Charlotte Market and Central and Northwest North Carolina. Our physicians practice in settings that offer a strong sense of community and teamwork, while benefiting from the clinical resources, academic collaboration, and innovation of a leading nonprofit health system.

- Atrium Health Stanly Emergency Department
- 12-hour shifts w/ Physician-led scheduling
- Additional compensation available for a nocturnist position
- 24-bed Emergency Department with modern resources and treatment spaces
- Dedicated behavioral health holding area within the ED for safe, specialized patient management
- Annual ED visits: 20,000 - 40,000; Steady patient flow with diverse clinical exposure
- 3 APP shifts daily, deliver 30-36 hours of APP support
- Attached community hospital with comprehensive inpatient services, including:
- Intensive Care Unit (ICU) - Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) - Surgery - Orthopedics - Gastroenterology (GI) - Cardiology - Inpatient Behavioral Health
- EPIC EMR
- Be part of an integrated nationally recognized organization with physician-led medical group and embedded service line
- Experience an environment that provides safe and equitable care for all patients
Training and/or Experience Required
- Emergency Medicine Board Certified / Board Eligible
- North Carolina Medical License (or eligibility)
