Partnered with a Level I Trauma hospital in eastern Ohio with an opportunity for a skilled Neurosurgeon to provide locum coverage.

Opportunity Overview:

• Level I trauma
• Schedule: 8 to 12-hour shifts
• Daily Volume: 1-2 emergent surgical cases
• Will cover emergent ED cases
• Procedures Required: Brain bleed stoppage, clot removal, tumor removal, trauma repair, shunt insertion or revision, spine stabilization and reconstruction, vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty, spinal fusion, laminectomy, and diskectomy
• Team Structure: 2 additional neurosurgeons
• EMR: Epic
• Must be board-certified
• Paid travel & expenses

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Neurosurgeon Physician Ohio state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited Neurosurgery Physicians/Surgeon program
• One year of work experience as Neurosurgeon Physicians/Surgeon
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified

• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
