Description

Family Practice Associates PC in Kearney, Nebraska has an opportunity for a full-time family physician with non-surgical OB.   We are a busy, progressive, physician-owned independent clinic.  We are also a rural residency site for UNMC.  We currently have six physicians, seven APPs and three residents.  Voted the Best of Kearney for medical clinics from 2018-2023, we have a large and dedicated patient panel of all ages.

• Clinic Schedule - Four days per week plus rotating Saturday mornings.
• Call - 1:7 call, goal for future call to be 1:9.  Residents take first call 3-4 days a week, and 3-4 Saturdays a month.  No ER call, hospital rounds or hospital admissions except for OB and peds.  Great relationship with both hospitals, and specialists in town.
• Providers typically see between 16-24 patients per day, with a focus on comprehensive, value-based care instead of high volumes.  All providers set their own schedules and appointment durations.
• Two nurses per physician.
• Physicians rotate through our Acute Care Services approximately one day per week (or one day per two weeks) to care for walk-in patients and oversee five APPs who run this service.  Acute care visits include everything from rashes and respiratory viruses to cardiac issues.  Strong and experienced APP and nursing team.
• Clinic-owned CLIA-waived, moderately complex lab, dexa and x-ray onsite with stat labs available for quick decision-making through in-town hospital reference labs.
• 12-18 month partnership track with friendly buy-in.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Practice/Family Medicine
• Non-surgical OB experience 
• Procedures welcome, but not required.  
• As a strong residency site, must have interest in teaching
