Company History
As a founding member of ProVas Management Partners, Dr. Joseph Hewett began his career in the United States Air Force graduating with a degree in Electrical Engineering sum cum laude. He quickly moved from a Master's Degree program in Biomedical Engineering to medical school at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. He pursued post graduate training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Duke University Medical and the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Since completing training Dr. Hewett started the first Endovascular Stent Graft and Endovenous treatment centers in Western Maryland. Dr. Hewett has been creating, managing, and practicing in OBLs and ASCs for the past 12 years. During that time he has successfully established centers performing outpatient based interventions for Peripheral Arterial Disease, Hemodialysis Access Maintenance, Interventional Oncology, Women's Health, Men's Heath, and Endovenous Treatment. He is a pioneer in performing peripheral Arterial disease the OBL setting having established many of the national policies and procedures used in this setting. Today, Dr. Hewett leverages his MBA along with 17 years of clinical experience and 12 years of experience in the OBL and ASC setting to create successful outpatient based medical practices that lead the industry in patient satisfaction, clinical outcomes, and provider relations.
