Description
The Department of Surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, located in Little Rock, Arkansas, is seeking a board-eligible/certified academic vascular surgeon with expertise in both open and endovascular surgery to join the faculty. The position is available at either Assistant or Associate Professor Level. An interest in clinical research and/or education is required.
The successful candidate will be one of six full-time vascular surgeons with attending responsibilities at a large tertiary University Hospital and an adjacent Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Both facilities have state of the art hybrid endovascular operating rooms and ICAVL approved vascular laboratories. In addition to medical student education, the position also involves teaching both general surgery residents (5 per year), 0-5 integrated vascular surgery residents (1 per year) as well as 5+2 vascular surgery fellows (1 per year). Our program has been training vascular surgery fellows for over 30 years and we have graduated integrated vascular surgery residents for over 10 years.
